Third Person Sentenced for Involvement in Health Care Fraud Ring

A 35-year-old Duncan woman was sentenced Tuesday to 14 months in prison and ordered to pay $2.8 million in restitution in connection with a health care fraud ring. Danielle Nicole Burroughs was convicted of conspiracy to commit mail fraud after she was recruited by Gary Lee Joiner to run a fake durable medical equipment company called Creative Casting Concepts, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
