Court Holds Employer Liable for Injuries to Worker Flung From Wheelchair

A divided Oklahoma Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that a worker was entitled to additional benefits for her injuries that were caused when she was flung from a wheelchair while she was being treated for a compensable back injury. Jennifer Hodge had suffered injuries while working for the City of Tulsa in September 2008. A trial judge awarded her benefits for injuries to her left knee and her back.
