Settlement Looming in DIR Wrongful Termination Case

A wrongful termination case initiated by a former investigator for the California Department of Industrial Relations who said she was fired for cooperating with an investigation into the agency’s former director is heading toward a settlement, according to court documents. Socorro Tongco on May 30 notified the Alameda County Superior Court that her entire case has been settled. Her attorneys did not return calls Wednesday and there is little information about the terms of the deal in the filing.
