Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal announced this week a set of initiatives aimed at employers who misclassify workers as independent contractors.The year-old Joint Enforcement Commission on Worker Misclassification has issued a report recommending that the penalty for misclassifying workers be increased from $300 per violation to $300 per day.
