The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board has revoked one physician’s authorization to treat injured workers because of disciplinary issues with the state medical board, and another physician has relinquished his board authorization.
The board said on Tuesday that it has revoked the authorization of Dr. Muneer Imam, of Moriches, effective Monday, after the State Board of Professional Medical Conduct suspended him for failing to satisfy the terms of probation that had been imposed because of misconduct.
