Pending Bill Creates Job-Relation Presumption for Firefighters' Cancers

Legislation creating a presumption that certain cancers in firefighters are job-related and thus compensable under workers’ compensation is “alive but temporarily stalled” in a Michigan Senate committee.A spokesman for the International Association of Firefighters reports more than half the states have approved or are considering similar measures.Sen.
