Guard Introduces Business Owner's Policy Coverage in State

Guard Insurance Group announced Thursday that it has begun offering business owner's policy (BOP) coverage in Maryland. Guard said the new line complements the company's traditional specialty -- workers' compensation insurance for small to medium-sized accounts. In addition, commercial umbrella liability policies are available to BOP customers, and commercial auto will be added in the future, the carrier said.Guard said its BOP product uses the Insurance Services Office (ISO) policy form, but with increased limits, coverage extensions and price discounts incorporated.
