A Norwalk, Conn. convalescent home worker was charged on Wednesday with threatening to get his firearm during an argument with a social worker about workers’ comp benefits, according to The Hour newspaper.
Mark Pecunia, who works for Notre Dame Convalescent Home and has been off work as a result of an injury, met a social worker at the home to discuss issues regarding his workers’ compensation benefits, according to police.
During the discussion, he became angry and told the social worker, “I should go home and get my piece and this will all be over,” according to the newspaper.
Pecunia, who denied making the threat when questioned by police, was charged with second-degree threatening. He is out on a $500 bond and has been scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 16.
