Yonkers Businesses Facing $43,000 in Fines for Noncompliance

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board (SWCB) obtained judgments against three businesses in Yonkers, N.Y., for failing to carry workers' compensation insurance.Public Affairs Director Brian Keegan said Monday the board has obtained judgments in cases filed against Yonkers Auto Mall, Golden Yonkers Properties and Yonkers Service Station.He said board officials are working with the Auto Mall, which was fined $33,000, and Golden Yonkers Properties, which was fined $6,000, in actions that could cause the judgments to be rescinded.He said Yonkers Service Station has not responded t...
