Industrial Commission Posts Audit Guidelines

The Idaho Industrial Commission posted to its website guidelines for 2018 audits.

The commission conducts periodic audits to ensure that carriers and self-insured employers are complying with statutory and regulatory claims-adjusting procedures.

The 2018 guidelines outline the types of claims that will be reviewed. For example, all on-site audits will include a review of all total permanent disability claims and fatality claims.

The guidelines also identify types of violations for which auditors are looking, which include timely payment of benefits and correct calculation of benefits owed to injured workers.
