Contractor Charged With Felony for Lack of Comp Coverage on Roofing Project

A 37-year-old contractor has been charged with a felony for failing to provide workers' compensation coverage for himself and seven employees during a siding and roofing repair project in 2015.
The Citizen newspaper of Auburn, New York, reports that Steven Pollot, of Waterloo, was arraigned this week on the felony charge of failure to secure workers' compensation.
Pollot's contracting company was called D&S Home Improvements-Property Maintenance, the newspaper reports.
He is due back in court Dec. 6.
