An upstate New York truck driver will pay $7,875 in restitution and serve three years' probation after pleading guilty to perjury in the third degree.
The New York State Inspector General’s Office said 48-year-old Roger M. Decker Jr., of Lee Center, was sentenced Friday in Utica City Court.
Prosecutors say Decker was injured while working for an Oneida County trucking company in 2004 and started collecting workers’ compensation benefits. He repeatedly submitted forms in 2016 and 2017 saying that he had not worked for more than a decade.
