The Massachusetts Division of Insurance should provide greater flexibility in the use of large deductibles to help large, sophisticated employers better control their costs, the American Insurance Association testified Monday.
The state agency held a public hearing in Boston on proposed changes to regulations, first enacted in 1992, that set maximum claim deductibles and premium credits allowed for all workers’ compensation plans, including large deductibles.
