Formulary, Fraud Legislation on Agenda for CCWC Conference

California’s new drug formulary and anti-fraud legislation are among the topics to be discussed at the California Coalition on Workers’ Compensation annual conference, to be held July 11-13 in Anaheim.
State Labor Secretary David Lanier will give an update on workers’ compensation administration during the CCWC’s 16th Annual Conference, to held at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Disneyland.
Also on the agenda:
- Exploring the Impact of SB 1160, presented by Dr. Douglas Benner of EK Health, Dr. Rajiv Das of Safeway, Dr. Roman Kownacki of Kaiser Permanente, and researcher Alex Swedlow of the California Workers’ Compensation Institute.
- Research Findings, How Comorbidities Really Affect WC Claims, presented by Tatiana Gales of Prospect Medical, and Timothy Morgan of Morgan, Leahy and Torigian.
- Weed at Work: The Impact of Marijuana on Your Workforce, presented by pharmacists Kathy Collins of Craig Hospital, Mark Pew, a senior vice president at Preferred Medical, and Kevin Roberts, managing partner at Hanna Brophy.
