The Nevada Division Insurance has scheduled a public hearing for Monday on a proposed rule that would change the wording of regulations governing security deposits for self-insured employers.
The division is proposing new subsection in Nevada Administrative Code Section 616B.424 that would require excess insurance policies to have deductibles of at least $100,000, contain a provision requiring at least 60 days' notice of cancellation, and a statement that a bankruptcy or insolvency does not relieve the insurer of its duties under the policy.
