A federal judge who dismissed California State Compensation Insurance Fund’s civil racketeering complaint against the Accident Help Line clinics ordered the carrier to pay $4.4 million in attorney fees to the clinic's owner.
However, State Fund is appealing the dismissal of the case, and a previous order from the U.S. District Court for Central California notes the carrier can challenge the fee and cost award as part of its pending appeal.
