Since it was founded in 2014, the Association for Responsible Alternatives to Workers’ Compensation has worked at the state level trying to increase the number of jurisdictions in which employers can opt out of workers’ compensation coverage.
The group has made little progress at statehouses. Now, it is expanding its focus to include Congress and the U.S. Department of Labor.
