San Jose Won't Renew Contract With TPA After TV Channel Investigation, Audit

After San Jose firefighters' reports of medical care denials resulted in a local news investigation and state audit, the city has decided to part ways with its claims management company in January. The city of San Jose has contracted with Athens Administrators since 2013. From late 2014 until August of this year, nearly 70 firefighters complained to the city that Athens had denied them medical care.
