Leaders of the Florida House and Senate have sent to Gov. Rick Scott a bill that adopts recommendations from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners on large-deductible workers’ compensation policies.
Although the Florida Legislature adjourned on May 5, the House speaker and Senate president did not sign House Bill 837 to send it along to the governor’s office until Wednesday, according to the Florida Legislature’s website.
The Florida Constitution requires legislation to be sent to the governor “as soon as practicable” after adjournment....
