Yonkers Bus Service Owner Charged With Comp Violation

The owner of a Yonkers, N.Y., bus service that served schools and casinos was arrested Jan. 30 on a felony charge of failing to provide workers’ compensation insurance coverage between 2006 and 2008, the New York State Insurance Department and the New York State Workers' Compensation Board (SWCB) announced Monday.Salvatore DiPaolo, 59, the owner of Service Transit Lines, was arrested by state police at Hawthorne, N.Y., and charged with violating the state workers’ compensation law by failing to cover 25 employees during the period.DiPaolo, of Scarsdale, N.Y., also faces charges...
