WCRI: Medical Payment Per Claim Falling Post-Reform

Medical payments per workers’ compensation claim with more than seven days' lost time in California have continued to decrease since the Senate Bill 863 was enacted in 2013, according to a new report from the Workers Compensation Research Institute. For claims with 12 months of experience, the average medical payment per claim decreased 3% per year from 2012-13 to 2015-16, WCRI said.
