Questionable Comp Claims Up 24% in 1st Quarter

The number of questionable workers' compensation claims referred to investigators increased by 24% in the first quarter of this year, compared to the first quarter of 2010, the National Insurance Crime Bureau reported Wednesday.NICB said 1,131 workers' compensation fraud referrals were made during the first quarter, compared to 915 in the previous year's first quarter.
