Hearing Scheduled on Proposal to Expand Peace Officer Presumption

California lawmakers will hear testimony next week on legislation that would make anyone meeting the definition of a peace officer entitled to the presumption that certain conditions are caused by work. The Senate Labor, Public Employment and Retirement Committee scheduled a March 27 hearing on Senate Bill 416. The bill, by Sen.
