Chiropractor Agrees to Plead Guilty to Taking Kickbacks

A Southern California chiropractor has agreed to plead guilty to taking kickbacks in exchange for referring workers' compensation patients to Pacific Hospital of Long Beach and Tri-City Regional Medical Center for spinal surgeries and other procedures. Michael E. Barri of Costa Mesa is scheduled to appear at the U.S. District Court for Central California on March 11 to enter a guilty plea to a single charge of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud.
