Oregon employers may continue to pay up to $2,000 per claim in medical costs to avoid losses that otherwise would impact their experience modifications, under an updated Bulletin 345 issued Thursday.
The Department of Consumer and Business Services said that insurers are required to send insured or prospective insured employers a notice advising them of their right to reimburse medical costs on accepted, nondisabling claims. Insurers that don’t are subject to civil penalties.
