Delphi Financial Group on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $26.9 million, down 37% from the $42.9 million in profits reported for the second quarter of 2007.Delphi said its net income for the second quarter of 2008 included after-tax realized investment losses of $12.7 million, while net income in the second quarter of 2007 included after-tax realized investment gains of $600,000.
