First Responder Spouses Now Eligible for Death Benefits After Remarrying

Widowed spouses of first responders are now eligible for death benefits for life, even after remarrying, the Texas Division of Workers' Compensation announced this week. The division has adopted new rules in keeping with a 2017 state law that expanded the benefits.
