Injured workers who travel for medical appointments will be reimbursed at 58 cents per mile next year, the California Workers’ Compensation Institute announced.
The Internal Revenue Service on Friday increased the business mileage reimbursement rate, to 58 cents per mile, from 54.5 cents.
The IRS reimbursement rate is used to determine the rate for injured workers who have to travel for medical treatment or evaluations.
The new rate will apply for travel on or after Jan. 1.
