Doctor Pleads Guilty to Unauthorized Prescribing

A Bettendorf emergency medicine physician has pleaded guilty to making false statements in connection with prescribing medications for patients he never saw, federal prosecutors said. Dr. Paul Matthew Bolger, 45, pleaded guilty to 18 counts of false statements relating to health care matters, five counts of introduction of misbranded drugs and one count of false statements for conduct occurring in California and transferred to Iowa.
