A Central New York woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of defrauding the workers' compensation system and obtaining food stamps she may not have been entitled to, New York State Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott announced in a press release.
Lisa Whyte, 39, of Auburn, was charged with misdemeanor welfare fraud, misuse of food stamps and petit larceny as well as felony workers' compensation fraud and offering a false instrument for filing.
