Tennessee is among a growing number of states where reforms aimed at bringing down the cost of physician-dispensed drugs have yielded savings early on, but costs per pill still remain considerably higher than the prices charged by pharmacies.
A Workers Compensation Research Institute report released Thursday examined drug prices for two full calendar quarters following rule changes that were adopted in August 2012 to address physician dispensing.
