Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin has signed a measure that reconstitutes the panel that nominates workers' compensation judges, codifying a controversial move he made last summer by executive order.
Bevin signed House Bill 299 into law on Tuesday.
The move officially abolishes the seven-member Workers' Compensation Nominating Commission, creating the five-member Workers' Compensation Nominating Committee in its place.
