New Mexico workers would see a 25% reduction in fees they pay to fund administration of the state’s workers’ compensation system under a bill filed ahead of the legislative session that starts Jan. 16.
House Bill 82, by Rep. Randal Crowder, R-Clovis, would cut the quarterly fee employees pay, to $1.50 from $2. Crowder’s bill would not reduce the quarterly employer assessment of $2.30 per worker.
