A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier in Ohio has been charged with workers’ compensation fraud for allegedly lying about his medical condition, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Ohio.
Douglas Joachim was arrested on Feb. 5 and charged with concealing and falsifying facts about his medical condition and the extent of his physical abilities in order to receive workers’ compensation disability payments. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office he made “false, fictitious and fraudulent statements" about his health.
