An Ohio cement manufacturer is facing $92,000 in proposed penalties after the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited it for exposing workers to machine noise and respiratory hazards.
Middlebranch-based Essroc Cement Corp., which has 6.5 million metric tons of annual cement production capacity, was cited for one repeat and 10 serious violations after inspectors visited the plant following a complaint of unsafe working conditions.
