Former California state senator Ron Calderon could be walking out of federal prison next year thanks to a 2007 law intended to reduce recidivism. If it were anyone else THAT was not a legislator, they would be in jail for a lot longer. with more charges to boot. I bet Calderon will run for another legislative office. This sets a terrible example that once a legislator, you get special privileges in the CA justice system
