The Alaska Senate Labor and Commerce Committee on Thursday passed House Bill 13 to create a permanent fee schedule for medical and emergency transportation services.The bill, introduced by Rep. Kurt E. Olson, R-Saldotna, requires the Workers’ Compensation Board to create a fee schedule that reimburses medical treatment and emergency transportation services at the lowest of either the 90th percentile of usual, customary and reasonable rates for a geographic area, the fee charged for services performed for the general public or the fee negotiated between the provider and the employer.The n...
