Industrial Commission Moves Forward on ASC-Challenged Rule

The North Carolina Industrial Commission is moving forward with an amendment to its ambulatory surgical center (ASC) fee schedule that was challenged by medical providers years ago. The amendment sets the reimbursement rate for services covered by the Medicare Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment System at 200%, and the rate for services covered by the Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System at 135%.
