A bill in the Delaware legislature that would allow Industrial Accident Board's hearing notices and decisions to be sent by email instead of certified mail has been passed by the House.
House Bill 408 was passed Thursday on a 37-0 vote. It has been referred to the Senate Labor Committee.
The bill would require hearing notices and decisions that are sent electronically to be sent by “secure” email with an electronic receipt.
If passed, the bill is expected to save money for the state, and time for the parties and attorneys in workers’ comp cases.
