The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the outpatient drug formulary, which includes removing some opioids but adding other types of pain medications.
The changes would take effect Feb. 1, 2021, and would delete several drugs from the list of approved medications for injured workers. These include a form of pseudoephedrine with codeine, a cold medication; a type of potassium citrate for urinary issues; and extended-release naltrexone.
