XL Insurance Appoints Chief Underwriting Officer of Professional Lines

XL Insurance on Thursday promoted Bernard R. Horovitz to chief underwriting officer of its Global Professional lines of business.Horovitz will report to John Glancy, XL's chief underwriting officer, the carrier said in a press release.Horovitz served as XL Insurance's chief actuary -- professional, which provides insurance indemnity for directors and officers, architects, engineers and other professionals against a variety of risks, including errors and omissions and employment practices.
