L&I Proposes Coverage for Acupuncture to Treat Low Back Pain

The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries has opened the comment period for a proposed rule that would allow payment for acupuncture treatment in injured workers. The approved conditions for acupuncture payment would be low back pain related to an accepted condition on the claim. Other conditions may be considered later based on the scientific and clinical evidence, L&I said.
