WSI to Require Bill Denial Before Retrospective Review

North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance is changing its procedures regarding retrospective review of medical services provided to injured workers. Effective June 1, WSI will accept a request to retrospectively review a service that was provided but not prior authorized only after the provider has submitted a bill and payment is denied.  To reflect the change, WSI has revised its Medical Bill Appeal, or M6 form, previously known as the Medical Bill Appeal/Retrospective Review Request.
