Senator Proposes Allowing Injured Workers to Choose Doctor

A year after a Republican majority passed controversial cutbacks to workers’ compensation benefits, a Democratic senator has introduced legislation that would allow injured workers to choose treating physicians. “An injured employee has the right to choose care, unless care needs to be provided at the job site in response to a life-threatening emergency,” Senate File 2185 states.
