An Acton-based manufacturer of granite countertops has been cited by OSHA for allegedly not correcting safety violations discovered in an inspection last year, including failing to protect workers’ hearing.
Mass-Granite Inc. was issued four failure-to-abate notices and citations for three repeat violations and 22 serious and other-than-serious violations. The company faces proposed penalties of $87,200, OSHA said in a Nov. 5 news release.
OSHA said it cited the company for six violations in September 2014 and levied $8,500 in fines.
