Employers Can Terminate Benefits at Return to Baseline, Though 'Baseline's' Meaning Debatable

The Georgia Supreme Court ruled Monday that an employer could terminate benefits to a worker who had aggravated his pre-existing conditions after healing to a point comparable to his condition before the workplace injury.  The court decided that if an employee aggravates a pre-existing condition on the job, the employer may suspend benefits without a court order once a doctor says the worker has returned to his "baseline condition."
