Construction Worker Accused of Fraud after 11th Claim in 9 Years

A Great Falls construction worker pleaded not guilty to one count of felony theft for allegedly working while receiving workers' compensation benefits, KRTV News reported.The Montana Attorney General's Office told the television station that Gilbert Spinler collected more than $9,000 from Montana State Fund while he was capable of working. Investigators say he was performing remodeling work while collecting workers' compensation.KRTV said court records show that Spinler has filed 11 claims with Montana State Fund in the past nine years.
