Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin announced Thursday that she appointed Jordan Russell to the state Workers’ Compensation Commission to replace Dr. LeRoy Young, who has resigned effective Oct. 3.
Russell will serve the remainder of Young’s term, which expires in August 2019, the governor's office said. Russell can begin serving immediately, but his appointment must be confirmed by the state Senate when it convenes for next year's legislative session.
