The Kentucky Labor Cabinet is proposing to repeal a Workers’ Compensation Funding Commission rule that governs the payment of audit expenses by taxpayers.
A change in state law passed by the legislature earlier this year modifies the way the commission raises funds to pay for the state's workers' compensation program.
House Bill 388, signed into law in April, rewrites many of the rules on the quarterly levies collected by the commission. The measure directs the Funding Commission to set up an electronic payment system for assessments starting in 2020.
