Day Care Operators Convicted Over Lapsed Workers' Compensation Policies

Two Cleveland-area day care operators have been convicted of refusing to pay their workers’ compensation premiums, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation said Friday. Karon Jones, 45, of Solon, pleaded guilty to a first-degree misdemeanor count of attempted obstructing official business and was ordered to pay the BWC $33,985 in restitution to bring her policy current.
